El 21 de abril se celebró en el sede de la empresa Keros Cerámica. una reunión en el marco del proyecto europeo Sharebox, uno de cuyos objetivos fundamentales es potenciar la cooperación entre empresas a la hora de optimizar consumos de agua, energía, de gestión de residuos, etc., y así conseguir procesos de fabricación más sostenibles.

En esta reunión estuvo presente César Estañol, Teniente Alcalde del Ayuntamiento de Nules y Concejal de Comercio, Desarrollo Local, Mercado, Industria y Agricultura, además de representantes de la Asociación del Polígono de La Mina de Nules, las empresas Keros; Kerafrit; Ibérica de Suspensiones; y el Instituto de Tecnología Cerámica (ITC) como miembros del proyecto Sharebox, además de otras empresas como Aislamientos Suberlev, S.L.

Por parte del Ayuntamiento de Nules quedó patente la predisposición de cooperación y una voluntad clara de servir como nexo de unión entre las empresas a la hora de abordar temas esenciales de interés común en el marco de Sharebox como puede ser, por ejemplo, la gestión del agua. Otros argumentos como las instalaciones de fibra óptica, la electricidad, la gestión de residuos y el tratamiento de aguas también estuvieron sobre la mesa, puesto que se podrían abordar de una forma centralizada para todas las empresas del polígono La Mina, logrando un claro beneficio común.

SOBRE SHAREBOX // El Proyecto Sharebox tiene como objetivo impulsar las fábricas del futuro a través de, entre otros, la gestión flexible de los recursos de proceso compartidos entre las empresas, para así ser más eficientes y sostenibles a la hora de optimizar recursos, energía y procesos de fabricación.

De este modo se dota a la operativa de planta y a los jefes de producción de información sólida, fiable, en tiempo real, y necesaria para compartir recursos como maquinaria, energía, agua, residuos y materiales reciclados, de forma efectiva y segura con otras empresas, dentro de un ecosistema simbiótico.

Está financiado por la Comisión Europea en el marco de la convocatoria SPIRE de Horizonte 2020 (acuerdo de subvención nº 680843) coordinado por la firma IRIS Spain. Tiene 48 meses de duración y en él participan, además del ITC, 15 entidades entre las que se encuentran empresas, universidades y centros de investigación procedentes de los sectores químico, cerámico y automoción.

Las empresas participantes (Keros Cerámica; Kerafrit; Guzmán Global e Ibérica de Suspensiones) están ubicadas en el Polígono La Mina de Nules (Castellón). Este conjunto de empresas tratará, a lo largo del proyecto de favorecer el intercambio de recursos entre ellas para reducir los costes de producción y el consumo industrial a través de la plataforma creada.

SHAREBOX PROJECT PARTNERS AND THE CITY OF NULES PROMOTE INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION // Keros Cerámica S.L hosted a meeting on April 21st, 2016 in the framework of European project SHAREBOX. This work session was aimed at discussing ways to enhance the cooperation between the companies of La Mina industrial park in Nules (Spain) in order to reach more sustainable manufacturing processes through and optimization of water use,  energy consumption, waste management, etc.

The participants to this meeting included César Estañol, Deputy Mayor of the city of Nules and Councillor of Commerce, Local Development, Market, Industry and Agriculture, along with representatives of the Association of La Mina Industrial Park, of the companies Keros Cerámica S.L., Kerafrit S.A., and Ibérica de Suspensiones S.L., along with ITC (Technological Institute for Ceramics) as partners of SHAREBOX project,  and of other companies such as SUBERLEV.

The city of Nules clearly stated its interest in coopering with SHAREBOX and its willingness to act as connecting link between the companies to address key issues of common interest such as, for example, water management. Other aspects such as fiber optic installations , electricity, waste management and water treatment were also discussed. Indeed, significant environmental and economic benefits could be obtained through a centralized management of these issues for all companies of La Mina Industrial Park.

ABOUT SHAREBOX PROJECT // Resource efficiency offers a major economic opportunities for the European Process Industry, both in terms of cost savings as well as opportunities to offer greener products and services. Industrial Symbiosis (IS) is the use by one company or sector of by-products, including energy, water, logistics and materials, from another.

The approach that underpins SHAREBOX centres on logical work flow that covers from the identification of new symbiotic synergies right through optimised connections among companies and organisations in established symbiotic relationships. SHAREBOX will provide plant operations and production managers with the robust and reliable information that they need in real-time in order to effectively and confidently share resources (plant, energy, water, residues and recycled materials) with other companies in an optimum symbiotic ecosystem.

SHAREBOX Project is funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 reserach and innovation programme under Grant agreement Nº 680843. SHAREBOX is coordinated by the SPANISH company IRIS and will last 48 month. SHAREBOX consortium includes companies, universities and research institutes from different sectors (such as chemical industry, ceramic and automotive).

Among the industrial partners, four companies (Keros Cerámica, S.L.; Kerafrit, S.A.; Guzmán Global, S.L. e Ibérica de Suspensiones, S.L.) are situated in La Mina Industrial Park in Nules (Spain). With the help of ITC, these companies intend to facilitate resource sharing, in order to reduce production cost and industrial consumption through the use of SHAREBOX platform.
