El puerto de Castellón despliega en Amberes su potencial logístico
El puerto de Castellón, a través de la Fundación PortCastelló, participa en la feria Breakbulk Europe 2016, el mayor encuentro europeo sobre carga fraccionada y de proyectos que se celebra en Amberes (Bélgica) hasta el próximo 26 de mayo. Un evento que congrega a más de 6.500 profesionales del sector, entre transitarios, terminalistas, transportistas marítimos y proveedores logísticos, entre otros.
La entidad castellonense acude al evento bajo el paraguas comercial de Puertos del Estado en el stand “Ports of Spain”, que cuenta con 120 metros cuadrados. El presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria de Castellón, Francisco Toledo, junto con el director del puerto, Roberto Arzo, y el gerente de la Fundación PortCastelló, Miguel Rojo, acuden a la feria con el objetivo de promocionar la buena marcha del recinto portuario castellonense y divulgar el incremento de sus tráficos en mercancía convencional y Ro-Ro.
En concreto, durante el primer trimestre de este año se ha registrado un incremento de un 80 por ciento en ese tipo de mercancías de carga especial, y de un 178,7 por ciento en tráfico Ro-Ro, el más alto de todos los puertos del Estado.
La Fundación PortCastelló ha desarrollado una amplia agenda de trabajo para establecer contactos comerciales y abrir nuevas vías de negocio y actividades económicas relacionadas la logística y el transporte. Francisco Toledo ha recordado que el puerto de Castellón es un nodo logístico esencial en el Mediterráneo y ha recordado que “somos un puerto altamente competitivo para el transporte de cargas especiales”. Al mismo tiempo, ha señalado que “las industrias de la carga de proyecto generan oportunidades de negocio, por lo que el puerto de Castellón un año más está presente en esta feria”.
THE PORT PRESENTS ITS LOGISTICS POTENTIAL IN ANTWERP // The Port of Castellón, through the PortCastelló Foundation, is particiapting in the Breakbulk Europe Trade Fair 2016, the most important European forum on breakbulk and projects, held in Antwerp Belgium until the 26th May. 6,500 professionals from this sector, transit companies, terminal management, maritime transport and logistics supplies are gathered at the fair.
The Port Authority of Castellón is taking part in the event under the commercial umbrella of State Ports in the 'Ports of Spain' stand which measures 120 square metres. The president of the the Port Authority, Francisco Toledo, together with the managing director of the port, Roberto Arzo, and the manager of the PortCastelló Foundation, Miguel Rojo, are present at the fair in order to make known the excellent performance of the port in recent years and to explain the increase in conventional and ro-ro traffic.
In particular, during the the first quarter of this year there has been an increase of 80% in this type of specialised traffic and a 178.7% increase in ro-ro traffic, the highest in the Spanish port system.
The PortCastelló Foundation has developed a wide ranging work plan to establish commercial contacts and open new ways towards business and economic activities related to logistics and transport. Francisco Toledo has stated that the the port of castellón is an essential logistics centre in the Mediterranean and that " we are a highly competitive port for the transport of special cargo."At the same time he pointed out that "the industries that use breakbulk cargo generate opportunities for business and that is why the Port of Castellón has chosen once again to be present at this fair."
