La naviera Transbulk Shipping y Marmedsa Noatum Maritime ponen en servicio a partir de hoy una nueva ruta entre el puerto de Castellón y Argelia exclusivamente de contenedores. La línea operará cada ocho días y complementa el servicio que Trans Med ofrece hacia el norte de África como uno de los principales destinos del sector azulejero.

El presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria de Castellón, Francisco Toledo, ha señalado que la regularidad de la ruta “ofrece un valor añadido y permite consolidar las conexiones desde el puerto de Castellón con los recintos portuarios de Argel y con el norte de Africa”. Al mismo tiempo, ha destacado el compromiso de la compañía Trans Med con el tejido empresarial de la provincia.

Cabe recordar que el pasado mes de enero el puerto de Castellón acogió una reunión para analizar las relaciones comerciales entre Castellón y Argelia, en la que participaron el director general de la Marina Mercante y Puertos del Ministerio de Transporte de Argelia, Iben-El Boushaki Mohamed; el presidente del puerto de Bejaia, Djelloul Achour; el gerente de Marmedsa Noatum, José María Salt y el presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria de Castellón, Francisco Toledo.

De esta forma, PortCastelló “sigue  trabajando en acciones comerciales que impliquen la consolidación y el aumento de líneas que incrementen las exportaciones de unos de los motores económicos de la provincia”, ha resaltado el presidente de PortCastelló, Francisco Toledo.

El buque encargado de cubrir el servicio es el New Leo. Tiene escala previa en Barcelona, admite carga en contenedores de 20 y 40 pies y tiene una eslora de 102. Con motivo de su primera escala hoy en Castellón el presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria ha hecho entrega al capitán del buque de una metopa.

NEW REGULAR CONTAINER LINE WITH ALGERIA // The Transbulk Shipping Company and Marmedsa Noatum Maritime have brought a new line into service between Castellón and Algeria exclusively for containers. The line will operate every eight days and will compliment the service that Trans Med already offers to North Africa.

The President of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo, stated that the regular operation of this route "offers added value and strengthens the connections between the Port of Castellón and ports in Algeria and North Africa." At the same time he highlighted the commitment of Trans Med to the business community of the province.

It should be remembered that in January of this year a meeting was held at the Port of Castellón to analyse commercial relations between Algeria and Castellón.

Present at this meeting were the Director General of the Merchant Marine and Ports from the Algerian Ministry of Transport, Iben-El Boushaki Mohamed; the president of the port of Bejaia, Djelloul Achour; the managing director of Marmedsa Noatum, José María Salt and the president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo.Toledo went on to say that in this way, PortCastelló “continues to take commercial action to consolidate and and extend the exports of one of the most important industries of the province.

The vessel which will cover the new service is the 'New Leo'. It makes a first stop in Barcelona, carries 20 and 40 feet containers and has a length of 102 metres. In order to celebrate the first visit by this vessel to the port of Castellón the president of the Port Authority presented the captain of the ship with commemorative metope.
