El Premio Internacional Velux publica sus ganadores
A principios de esta semana, el jurado internacional, que se reunió en Copenhague durante dos días, seleccionó 10 proyectos inspirados en luz diurna como ganadores regionales. El premio internacional Velux 2016 reta a estudiantes de arquitectura a demostrar su conocimiento de la luz solar como fuente de energía, luz y vida.
Los 10 ganadores regionales mostraron un nivel de investigación y entendimiento de cómo la luz diurna es vital para la arquitectura y cómo puede crear espacio. Integraron soluciones de luz diurna creativas en la ciudad y en comunidades densas y mostraron responsabilidad hacia la naturaleza, y en la interacción social. Trabajaron con muchos aspectos desde la espiritualidad a cómo la luz diurna puede hacerse tangible para personas invidentes en sus proyectos.
"Queremos que los estudiantes experimenten y observen todos los aspectos de la luz diurna, y nos hemos sorprendido mucho porque realmente buscan nuevas relaciones con la luz diurna, a través de la curiosidad, experimentación, fabricación de modelo e innovación", dijo Per Arnold Andersen, responsable del premio internacional Velux.

América: No parking..Let there be light por Enzo Piero Vergara Vaccia, Chile

Europa del Este y Oriente Medio: Light Scattering Window por Kamil Głowacki, Marta Sowińska, Łukasz Gąska, Polonia

Con cerca de 600 proyectos entregados de 57 países, la competición mostró exploraciones creativas sobre el tema de la luz diurna por parte de los principales futuros arquitectos del mundo. Los ganadores regionales del premio internacional VELUX para estudiantes de arquitectura presentarán ahora sus proyectos en competición para dos premios generales en el Festival Mundial de Arquitectura en Berlín, el 18 de noviembre de 2016. JURADO // El jurado de los premios: Omar Gandhi, Christine Murray, Zbigniew Reszka, Francesco Veenstra y Per Arnold Andersen se reunieron los días 27 y 28 de junio en Copenhague para revisar cerca de 600 proyectos presentados de 57 países y a final del segundo día acordaron los 10 ganadores regionales.
"Estamos realmente inspirados por las exploraciones de la luz diurna de los estudiantes de todo el mundo. El premio está diseñado para impulsar a los estudiantes a trabajar con la luz diurna y las presentaciones de este año muestran grandes perspectivas sobre las dimensiones sociales, sociológicas y medioambientales de luz diurna", dijo Per Arnold Andersen de Velux Group.
Luz del mañana
El tema general de los premios internacionales Velux 2016 es la Luz del mañana. El premio quiere inspirar a los estudiantes de arquitectura a considerar cómo utilizan la luz solar y la luz diurna como principales fuentes de energía y luz, y cómo asegurar la salud y bienestar de las personas que viven y trabajan en edificios.

With close to 600 submitted projects from 57 countries, the competition displayed creative explorations on the theme of daylight from the world’s leading future architects. The regional winners of the International VELUX Award for Students of Architecture will now present their projects in competition for two overall prizes at the World Architecture Festival in Berlin on November 18, 2016. The ceremony will be livestreamed to iva.velux.com.
The award jury: Omar Gandhi, Christine Murray, Zbigniew Reszka, Francesco Veenstra and Per Arnold Andersen met from 27 – 28 June in Copenhagen to review close to 600 submitted projects from 57 countries and by the end of the second day, they agreed on ten regional winners.
