La instalación fotovoltaica integrada en edificación más grande de África / The largest building-integrated photovoltaic installation in Africa
Onyx Solar ha finalizado la instalación del proyecto de integración fotovoltaica más grande del continente africano en la fachada de la sede central de Sterling Bank en Lagos, Nigeria.
Con una superficie de 6.500 m2 de vidrio fotovoltaico de silicio cristalino y una potencia instalada de 1 MW, esta solución innovadora combina la funcionalidad de un vidrio convencional con la capacidad de generar energía solar. La instalación remodela el edificio de los años 80 y consta de 3.250 vidrios fotovoltaicos de 2.000x1.000 mm de color azul para adaptarse a los requerimientos estéticos de Sterling Bank.
La instalación permitirá a Sterling Bank ahorrar costes de energía y reducir su huella de carbono. El vidrio fotovoltaico de Onyx Solar es fácil de instalar y mantener, lo que significa que el banco nigeriano podrá aprovechar las propiedades activas y pasivas de esta innovadora tecnología.
Onyx Solar has completed the installation of the largest photovoltaic integration project in Africa on the façade of Sterling Bank’s headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria.
With a surface area of 6,500 square meters of crystalline silicon photovoltaic glass and an installed capacity of 1 MW, this innovative solution combines the functionality of conventional glass with the ability to generate solar energy. The installation refurbishes the 80s building and consists of 3,250 photovoltaic glasses of 2,000x1,000 mm in blue color to fit Sterling Bank’s aesthetic requirements.
The installation will allow Sterling Bank to save energy costs and reduce its carbon footprint. Onyx Solar’s photovoltaic glass is easy to install and maintain, which means that the Nigerian bank will be able to take advantage of the active and passive properties of this innovative technology.
