'Laccio by Dsignio', premio al Revestimiento del Año 2016
Recientemente se ha celebrado la ceremonia de entrega de premios de la prestigiosa The Tile Association en el hotel St. Johns de la ciudad de Solihull, en el Reino Unido.
La gala Awards Carnival 16 contó con la presencia de las personalidades y los profesionales más relevantes del sector británico. En este marco, la colección de revestimiento de pasta blanca Laccio by Dsignio se alzó con el galardón al mejor revestimiento del año según la asociación que promueve el evento The Tile Asocciation.
Esta colección diseñada por el estudio de diseño Dsignio, dentro del programa de Peronda Fashion Lab, presenta un cuidado relieve continuado que asemeja cintas que se cruzan entre sí en formato 32x90 centímetros.
Dsignio se ha inspirado en la forma en la que los pájaros tejen sus nidos para crear una superficie en la que se entrelazan una serie de cintas. Estas cintas continúan pieza a pieza formando un interesante entrelazado acentuado por el ligero relieve de la cerámica y los tonos de cada cinta.
LACCIO BY DSIGNIO’, WINNER OF THE TILE ASSOCIATION’S ‘BEST WALL TILE OF THE YEAR’ AWARD // Last May 14th, the prize-giving ceremony of the prestigious Tile Association awards was held at St. Johns Hotel in Solihull (United Kingdom). The ‘2016 Carnival Awards’ gala ceremony was attended by personalities and top professionals from the sector. The Laccio by Dsignio white-body wall tile collection was singled out to receive the award for the best wall tile of the year by the Tile Association, which organized the event.This collection, created by design studio Dsignio as part of the Peronda Fashion Lab programme, features a carefully conceived continuous relief pattern in the form of interlacing ribbons on 32x90cm tiles.
Dsignio took the way that birds build their nests as its source of inspiration, creating a surface of interlacing ribbons, which continue from one tile to the next to form an interesting interwoven pattern, accentuated by the subtle relief texture on the surface of the tiles and the colour of each ribbon.
