- PortCastelló promueve un monográfico sobre Incoterms dirigida al sector cerámico de la provincia de Castellón.
Este miércoles, día 5 de junio, el salón de actos de Ascer en Castelló acogerá la jornada Navegando con Incoterms: Optimizando el Comercio Cerámico en Castellón, organizada por la Autoridad Portuaria de Castellón y Fundación PortCastelló en colaboración con Ascer, la Diputación Provincial y Becsa Simetria. La jornada será inaugurada por el presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria, Rubén Ibáñez.
Un evento que abordará el uso del puerto de Castellón entre exportadores del sector cerámico, las líneas regulares en PortCastelló, casos prácticos y el uso efectivo de los incoterms en el comercio cerámico. Además, la jornada contará con la ponencia de Marta Prado Larburu, doctora en Derecho del Comercio Transnacional y Vicepresidenta de la Comisión CLP en ICC Spain, que ofrecerá una ponencia con el título Vendiendo en EXW, ¿duermes tranquilo?.
La jornada está dirigida principalmente a directores de logística, CEOs y responsables de los departamentos comerciales del sector cerámico. Tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre la importancia de definir la distribución de los costes, así como la transmisión de los riesgos entre comprador y vendedor para el éxito de cualquier operación internacional. Se debatirá sobre las diferentes variantes y las implicaciones de los inconterms, y la importancia y el impacto de estos términos comerciales en las operaciones internacionales del sector cerámico.
Los incoterms son uno de los desafíos que enfrentan las empresas cerámicas, que se concentran en un 94% en la provincia de Castellón dado su carácter eminentemente exportador. De su facturación global, aproximadamente el 75% corresponde a exportaciones y el resto de las ventas se destinan al mercado nacional. El sector representa el 19,7% del PIB industrial de la Comunitat Valenciana y supone más del 23% del total del PIB de la provincia de Castellón.
En este sentido, Rubén Ibáñez ha afirmado que el puerto de Castellón «lleva en su ADN al sector cerámico» y ha recordado las ventajas que tiene el recinto portuario de la capital de La Plana para el sector , «que se encuentra en su gran mayoría en su entorno». Así, el presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria de Castellón ha afirmado que la lógica “indica que el lugar para las operativas del sector debe ser el más cercano a sus industrias, por temas como la reducción de la huella de carbono y el menor coste logístico”.
La jornada contará además con la ponencia del director de puerto de Castellón, Manuel García, bajo el título PortCastelló al servicio del sector cerámico, y una mesa de debate, Alianzas estratégicas entre el sector cerámico y PortCastelló, en la que participarán representantes de Raminatrans Castellón, Noatum Terminals, Maghreb Container International, Messina e Incontrans.
Sobre Incoterms
Los Incoterms (acrónimo del inglés International Commercial Terms --Términos Internacionales de Comercio--) fueron creados en 1936 por la Cámara de Comercio Internacional para facilitar la comprensión de los acuerdos adoptados en las operaciones de compraventa internacional.
Son normas aceptadas por gobiernos y operadores acerca de las condiciones de entrega de las mercancías y en las que se recogen los derechos y obligaciones, gastos y costes que asumen las partes, punto de entrega de la mercancía, obligaciones del transporte y del seguro, y responsabilidad de los trámites aduaneros, entre otras cuestiones.

On Wednesday 5 June, the Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association (ASCER) conference hall will host the conference “Navigating with Incoterms: Optimising the Ceramic Trade in Castellón“, organised by the Port Authority of Castellón and the PortCastelló Foundation in partnership with Ascer, Castellón Provincial Council and the company Becsa Simetria. The conference will be inaugurated by the president of the Port Authority, Rubén Ibáñez.
This is an event that will deal with the use of the port of Castellón by exporters in the ceramics sector, the regular lines in PortCastelló, practical cases and the effective use of Incoterms in the ceramics trade. In addition, Marta Prado Larburu, PhD in Transnational Trade Law and Vice-President of the CLP Commission at ICC Spain, will give a speech entitled “Selling in EXW, do you Sleep Peacefully?”
The conference is mainly aimed at logistics managers, CEOs and heads of commercial departments in the ceramics sector. It aims to highlight the importance of defining the distribution of costs and the transfer of risks between buyer and seller for the success of any international operation. The different variants and implications of Inconterms, and the importance and impact of these trade terms on the international operations of the ceramics sector will be discussed.
Incoterms are one of the challenges facing ceramics companies, 94% of which are concentrated in the province of Castellón, because of its strongly export-focused nature. Of its global turnover, approximately 75% relates to exports and the rest of the sales are destined for the domestic market. Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) were created in 1936 by the International Chamber of Commerce to facilitate the understanding of the agreements adopted in international sales transactions. These are rules accepted by governments and operators on the conditions of delivery of goods, including rights and obligations, costs and expenses borne by the parties, the point of delivery of goods, transport and insurance obligations, and responsibility for customs formalities, among other points.
