Valencia acogerá la primera edición del H2 – Hydrogen World Congress. Coincidiendo con la celebración del eMobility Expo, el congreso se celebrará en Feria de Valencia los días 14 y 15 de febrero para analizar los beneficios del hidrógeno verde y su aplicación en el sector de la movilidad y también en la industria. Se trata del mayor congreso de hidrógeno verde en Europa, que reunirá a expertos de todo el mundo en la materia.
Con el objetivo de liderar el debate del hidrógeno en Europa, el H2 – Hydrogen World Congress reunirá las principales iniciativas que se están desarrollando en el país y contará con la participación de los principales proyectos de inversión, dónde España se está erigiendo como la principal potencia mundial con más de 20.000 millones de euros de inversión previstos.
Así el congreso contará con la participación de la Agencia Internacional de la Energía y el Ministerio de Transición Ecológica; con los principales promotores del Valle del Hidrógeno Andaluz de Palos de la Frontera en Huelva y de San Roque en Cádiz; los del Valle de Galicia con el proyecto H2 Pole; el de Puertollano en Castilla la Mancha; los del Consorcio Shine con el Corredor del Hidrógeno del Ebro y de Cataluña; los promotores del Valle de Hidrógeno de Aragón; del Corredor Vasco del Hidrógeno o el de Tarragona Hydrogen Network. También estarán presentes HyVal, el clúster del hidrógeno de la Comunitat Valenciana o los promotores del HyDeal España, así como Iberdrola, Cepsa, BP, EDP, Repsol o el Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía.
Algunos de los principales fondos de inversión vinculados a grandes proyectos energéticos ya han confirmado su participación, que contará con la presencia de más de 180 expertos internacionales, que compartirán, durante esos días, los últimos avances, pero también los aspectos relacionados con la viabilidad económica de cada uno de los proyectos, así como del ámbito regulatorio, técnico o del impacto de esta energía en el panorama industrial y de la movilidad.
Jesús Haro, director del H2 - Hydrogen World Congress, hace hincapié en la importancia que tiene el hidrógeno dentro de la movilidad sostenible. “España está apostando de una forma muy clara por la transformación energética del país, con importantes inversiones en infraestructura como los corredores de hidrógeno, con los que contamos actualmente”.
En esta línea, durante el congreso se debatirá sobre el papel del hidrógeno verde, su potencial como vector de energía limpia y su impacto en la consecución de una industria neutra en carbono. El uso del hidrógeno es importante para una movilidad más sostenible, debido a su capacidad para reducir las emisiones de carbono, disminuir la dependencia de los combustibles fósiles, aumentar la eficiencia energética y ofrecer ventajas en términos de autonomía y tiempo de recarga. Su versatilidad lo convierte en una opción prometedora para abordar los desafíos ambientales y energéticos en el sector industrial y de la movilidad.
“Acelerar el salto al hidrógeno renovable y con bajas emisiones de carbono exigirá coordinación y colaboración entre la industria, redes eléctricas y de gas, responsables políticos e inversores”, afirma Jesús Haro.
Los sistemas de carga y de distribución
Las baterías y los sistemas de carga también tendrán su espacio en el H2 – Hydrogen World Congress. El espacio albergará decenas de firmas expositoras con todo tipo de soluciones en sistemas de carga, entre otras innovaciones en materia energética. Asimismo, el congreso acogerá también el Energy & Batteries Forum, para debatir los casos de éxito más disruptivos del sector energético, así como los diferentes aspectos relacionados con las tecnologías de baterías, desde su fabricación hasta las propuestas de segunda vida y el reciclaje, y analizará el papel de las materias primas en el nuevo paradigma de la cadena de suministro.
Valencia will host the first edition of the H2 - Hydrogen World Congress. The congress will feature the participation of the International Energy Agency and the Ministry of Ecological Transition, along with the main promoters of the Andalusian Hydrogen Valley in Palos de la Frontera in Huelva and San Roque in Cadiz; those of the Galician Valley with the H2 Pole project; the Puertollano project in Castilla-La Mancha; those of the Shine Consortium with the Hydrogen Corridor of the Ebro and Catalonia; the promoters of the Hydrogen Valley of Aragon; the Basque Hydrogen Corridor or the Tarragona Hydrogen Network. Also present will be HyVal, the hydrogen cluster of the Valencian Community, and the promoters of HyDeal Spain, as well as Iberdrola, Cepsa, BP, EDP, Repsol, or the Institute of Energy Technology.
Some of the main investment funds linked to large energy projects have already confirmed their participation, which will include the presence of more than 180 international experts who will share the latest advances during these days, as well as aspects related to the economic viability of each project, as well as regulatory, technical, or the impact of this energy on the industrial and mobility landscape.
Jesús Haro, director of the H2 - Hydrogen World Congress, emphasizes the importance of hydrogen in sustainable mobility. «Spain is clearly betting on the energy transformation of the country, with significant investments in infrastructure such as hydrogen corridors, which we currently have.»

Charging and distribution systems
Batteries and charging systems will also have their space at the H2 - Hydrogen World Congress. The event will host dozens of exhibiting companies with all kinds of solutions in charging systems, among other innovations in energy. Additionally, the congress will also host the Energy & Batteries Forum to discuss the most disruptive success stories in the energy sector, as well as various aspects related to battery technologies, from manufacturing to proposals for second life and recycling, and will analyze the role of raw materials in the new paradigm of the supply chain.
