Mohawk Industries compra una firma cerámica internacional / Mohawk to acquire Brazil’s Elizabeth Revestimentos
El gigante internacional Mohawk Industries ha llegado a un acuerdo para la adquisición de la compañía brasileña Elizabeth Revestimentos.
Esta operación se suma a la concretada en el 2018 cuando Mohawk Industries integró en su estructura Eliane. Con ello, la firma será el mayor productor de revestimientos cerámicos en facturación en Brasil, que es el segundo mercado cerámico más grande del mundo.
Elizabeth, fundada en el año 1984, está especializada en la fabricación de recubrimientos cerámicos y gres porcelánico. Se espera que la transacción se complete en el primer trimestre de 2023 y está sujeta a las aprobaciones gubernamentales habituales y las condiciones de cierre.

When combined with Eliane, which became part of Mohawk in 2018, the company will be the largest producer of ceramic coatings in revenue in Brazil, which is the second largest ceramic market in the world. Elizabeth produces porcelain tiles and ceramic tiles and markets mainly in retail, home centers and construction companies.
Elizabeth was founded in 1984 and has four strategically located manufacturing units to optimize distribution. Together with Eliane’s production strengths, Elizabeth’s advanced manufacturing assets will enhance the combined business’s product offering, operational efficiencies, and service capabilities. The transaction is expected to be completed in Q1 2023 and is subject to customary government approvals and closing conditions.
