CASTELLÓ. La Universitat Jaume I de Castelló, la empresa Systemfoc y el Instituto de Tecnología Cerámica (ITC) han firmado recientemente un convenio para impulsar la descarbonización en la industria cerámica, en este caso, a través de la electrificación de los hornos cerámicos. Si bien esta colaboración ha sido llevada a cabo e implantada con éxito en la empresa Equipe Cerámicas, la firma pública de este convenio asienta ante la sociedad y todos los agentes involucrados que esta tecnología ha resultado viable y su objetivo es «proyectarla y extenderla a otras empresas para que puedan adoptarla con garantías en un futuro que ya es presente».

El convenio ha sido firmado por la rectora de la UJI, Eva Alcón; el presidente de la Asociación de Investigación de las Industrias Cerámicas (AICE), Juan Vicente Bono, por parte del ITC y Vicent Aparici Porcar, CEO de la compañía Systemfoc, Sistemes Tecno-Energètics Aplicats de Castelló.

Además, al acto también han asistido David Cabedo, vicerrector de Innovación, Transferencia i Divulgación Científica; Eliseo Monfort, catedrático de la UJI y experto en el ámbito de la descarbonización; Yolanda Reig, directora general del ITC; Gustavo Mallol, director del área de Negocio y Diversificación del centro tecnológico; Salvador Ferrer, investigador del Área de Sostenibilidad del ITC y Vicent Aparici Vilar, director y fundador de Systemfoc.

The Universitat Jaume I in Castelló, the company SYSTEMFOC and the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC) have signed an agreement to promote decarbonisation in the ceramic industry, in this case through the electrification of ceramic kilns. Although this collaboration has been successfully carried out and implemented at the company EQUIPE CERÁMICAS, the public signing of this agreement establishes before society and all the agents involved that this technology has proven to be viable and that its objective is to promote it and extend it to other companies so that they can adopt it with guarantees in a future that is already present.

The agreement was signed by the rector of the UJI, Eva Alcón; the president of the Association for Research in the Ceramic Industry (AICE), Juan Vicente Bono, on behalf of the ITC; and Vicent Aparici Porcar, CEO of the company SYSTEMFOC, Sistemes Tecno-Energètics Aplicats de Castelló S.L.
